I'm a fan of this table/floor lamp. I won't be buying it because it's too expensive, but it sure is pretty. $399

Here's an absolutely lovely Danish Modern table. I pretty much love anything designed by Arne Vodder. I'd love to have this one, but I'm not a collector and this is too pricey for me. $375 http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/fuo/1574843207.html

Recently, I made a post about a danish mid century modern sofa that I missed out on (Read: The One That Got Away).
I never thought I'd see it again, but here it is, on Craiglist once more and for a lot more money this time. This just shows that furniture dealers also cruise craigslists for steals, and sometimes they're faster than we are.

I saw this sofa and flipped. I don't even need a new sofa, but this Danish Modern one was so cute and she only wanted $100 for it! I guess someone beat me to it, because she never called back and the ad was taken down later that day. So sad.

When I came across this ad I had to do a double take as I thought it was my ad that I had just posted last night. Look at the blatant plagiarism of every word of a few of my sentences! I was trying to sell my piece like a salesman so rather than be offended someone stole my writing I guess I should take it as a compliment. Their china cabinet is quite nice and a good price for what looks like teak. I still love my new one a lot more. My new one is huge and massive and will hold so much stuff. I also love the granny antique-y look to mine and the parts where the finish is coming off give it character.

I picked this up today from CL for $65. When I got home I realized it was in need of a lot of work. I made a quick trip to Home Depot and bought a Minwax Stain Marker and Restor-it (a cream furniture polish). The Restor-it worked wonders. The chest was so dusty and dull but after I used this product the warm tones of the wood really came out.
It still needs to be sanded down. The most damage is on the top. I decided right now I don't have the energy or time for a project like this so I just touched it up with the Stain Marker, threw a brown throw over the top of it and tried to make it cute with some throw pillows. What do you think?
Unfortunately, the chest didn't look so good at the foot of our bed since it stands taller than our low platform bed. The only other spot in the whole house would be below the window. I had to move out that reading chair I had there and moved it next to its pair in the living room.

I had to buy this too. I guess this blog isn't foolproof as I've made a couple purchases today. Well, the hubby said it was ok and I have a feeling it's because he wants to buy this vintage 1976 foosball table that just came up on CL.
I'm planning to sell the other china cabinet I have instead if I don't find another use for it. I might try to use it as a bookcase in the hallway....

When I saw This I just couldn't resist. It was love at first sight. Those legs were too sexy for me to walk away without making the call. I think this will go great at the foot of our bed, but it won't hold blankets, it will hold our huge vinyl record collection. Our records have been sitting in the garage right now but they cannot stay there once it gets hot.
